A little bit about me and how Brushed by Rach was born

When many of us were taking up new hobbies in 2020, I picked up a cheap watercolour set with one goal: to paint house portraits as gifts for my friends who were buying their first homes. I fell in love with the creative process and it wasn’t long before my hobby snowballed into a fun side hustle, and then a full-time business.

Watercolour house portraits are the foundation of Brushed by Rach and will forever remain a part of what I do. I love challenging my watercolour and design skills through wedding stationery, creating pieces that embody timeless elegance while incorporating personal touches that reflect the uniqueness of your personalities. As a self-proclaimed perfectionist and a lover of supporting local businesses, attention to detail and using the highest quality, handmade materials are top priority for me.

Prior to the Brushed by Rach era of my life, I spent most of my early twenties travelling the world while pursuing education in social work, a career that I still dip my toes in part-time. When I’m not being a therapist or creating pretty stationery, you can usually find me spending time with my favourite people or trying a new recipe. I’m a big fan of iced coffee, bike rides, reading, workout classes and all things health and wellness.
